Our Temple.

         Sri Thuparamaya Viharaya is our temple.Lunuwilla area is located in wennappuwa town. Our temple is surrounded by a beautiful paddy fields. The present chief Thero of Rajawaka pannasekara thero. Our temple has about 250 contributors. Our temple is spread over an area of about five acres. At the entrance to the temple you can see a dragon pandal about thirty feet high. We can also see a large temple about a hundred years old in the temple. A two hundred years old Bodhi tree can also be seen. The shrine houses a Darmashala, a lodge, medition rooms and a medition garden.

 

      We have setup a foundation called ' Asarana Sarana' to help the needy poor in the temple.Assistance is provided to poor families in the area and families affected by certain disaster. Seela Samadhi programmes, Dhamma sermons, Bodhi pooja, Abhaya dana pinkm, Aloka puja etc are organized.

        We also have Saddhananda Daham School in the temple. I was also educated there. Our temple is a blessing to our village. May my worship be to our temple.
